Professional Training Courses

The following organisations offer professional training courses related to radioecology:


Bundesamt für Strahlenschutz (BfS)

  • Interdisciplinary radiation research (InterRad) - (2 weeks) - planned for 2021, details will be available soon

Institut de radioprotection et de sûreté nucléaire (IRSN)

Training is managed by ENSTTI, an approved professional training organisation which offers training courses (mostly in English) and tutoring, both involving IRSN expert lecturers. Some of the training courses are organised in the framework of the Instrument for Nuclear Safety Cooperation of the European Commission. Professional training courses dedicated to the radiation protection of people and the environment are organized. Training targets different professionals (radiologist, occupational doctor, industry, nuclear safety or environmental engineer etc.) using ionising radiation in the context of their professional activities. Public Health England (PHE)
Subject to demand PHE offers training courses on their PC-CREAM Radiological Impact Assessment Software. For more information see: 

UK Centre for Ecology & Hydrology (UKCEH)
UKCEH regularly offers a short training course that covers a number of aspects of environmental (non-human biota) radiological assessment, including the ERICA tool, radionuclide transfer, dosimetry, effects, benchmarks, dispersion and how to model atmospheric noble gases.
